Geocache Description:

Recent literary and theatrical accounts of Abe Lincoln's life have implied that there was a part of Lincoln's life that no one knew existed.  They suggest that his secret life was being a vampire hunter. However, we have uncovered the truth. Lincoln's secret life was actually as a letterbox seeker, a precursor to geocaching. As in today's letterbox caches, Lincoln used a stamp to sign the logs of the letter boxes he had found. His stamp was in the shape of a set vampire fangs. This is presumably where the literary license was used to generate the books and movies about Lincoln being a Vampire Hunter. So to honor this, our theme this year is to come as your best Vampire or Vampire Hunter.  Please remember that this is a family friendly event and all park rules apply.

Schedule:

9:00 am - Call of the Vampires and Hunters
9:05 am - Photo
9:10 am - Draw for prizes
9:15 am - Disperse into Lincoln State Park and surrounding areas for geocaching!

Don't forget to sign the log or your Attended log might get bitten.
