Trek to the Severn Multi-cache
Coppernogins: I AM VERY SORRY TO SAY THAT I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO LOOK AFTER MY CACHES ANYMORE DUE TO MOUNTAIN BIKING & MY SONS FOOTBALL WITH GORNAL ATHLETIC. IF ANY BODY WANTS TO COLLECT THE STAGE CONTAINERS & USE THEN IN THEIR OWN CACHE PLEASE FEEL FREE, BUT COULD YOU LET ME NOW WHICH ONES YOU TAKE.

Parking can be found at Callow Hill ,( N52’21.820 W002’21.979 )
The car park opens at 07.30 hrs & closes at 21.00 hrs or when it gets dark, which ever comes first. Parking costs £2.
Starting from the car park, take the wide main path down hill into the forest. The 8 stage multi-cache is for the more serious cachers who don’t mind a good walk, it requires a high skill level as working in tree cover can be challenging due to inconsistent co-ordinate readings.
You will be taken on a trip through some of the most beautiful & quiet parts of the Wyre forest. Please be aware that some parts you will walk through are designated as wildlife conservation areas, so please act accordingly, & keep to the paths.
There are parts where you will need to leave the paths, take care, as it can be VERY slippery under foot & in some places there are trip hazards.
You will need to take:- water tight foot ware, a torch & a pen & paper.
Please don’t try to walk the direct route to each cache as walking through the forest will cause un-necessary damage to the undergrowth, it’s far quicker & easier to walk on the paths even though at times you may be walking off course a little.
If you are very quiet & observant you may see some deer as you pass through some areas.
Please replace each cache where you found it, each stage will be well hidden or disguised.
I realise that for most cachers, 8 miles of walking will not appeal to them but for me caching is about walking in the fresh air & I feel this is a great place for it.
If you complete this cache it will give a sense of achievement far greater than a simple cache & dash. Good luck, & make sure you have enough daylight to finish your walk.
In the winter you will need to start before 10.30 hrs.
Be sure to look closely at any items you may pick up!
