Cache
I was surprised to find that Memorial
Park did not have one geocache so I thought it was time for
that to change.
B. D. Picnic Place, is my wife’s family’s traditional
Memorial Park birthday celebration. The celebration combines four
of her sibling’s birthdays, all of whom were born in a one week
period. This birthday celebration has been going on at Memorial
Park for almost 25 years.
UPDATE 7/26/08 Replaced cache with a new small cache which
is about 1-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches. This cache is a sign only
cache which is a key holder plastic case. Although my new Garmin 60
CSx was able to pick up a signal easily under the trees, some GPS’s
may not do as well. Please bring your pen to log your find. Also,
please put the cache back in its hiding place exactly as you found
it and PRESS COVER HARD TO SNAP SHUT.
HINT: You can access the park without paying by parking on
Wurr Road, and at the bridge over Pescadero Creek, access the
Memorial Park trail into the park at the North/Westerly corner of
the bridge. You will find a steep set of steps going up. Make sure
you take the steps going up and follow your GPSr for a very short
walk to the cache site.
