"My Name is Earl", it's one of my
favorite television shows. I think that it is downright funny, and
while the type of humor may not be for everyone, it just kind of
works itself into me, especially after a hard day at
work.
One of the neatest things about the
show is that it is set in the fictional "Camden County". Camden
County is of course, The San Fernando Valley.
Many re-occurring sights are the
Continental Liquor sign at Balboa and Nordhoff.
The giant wiener sign at the Hot Pastrami shack at Reseda and
Saticoy.
The railroad bridge on Parthenia, east of Reseda.
Yummy Donuts (home of the one legged girl), at Balboa and
Saticoy.
The makeshift trailer park on the east side of Louise, just south
of Roscoe.
They once thought that the world was ending and took refuge in a
unit of Northridge Storage.
Earl spent a half of season working for Mr. Waadt, at Waadt
Appliances on Sherman Way.
Their hangout, the "Crab Shack" is actually Lido's Pizza on
Victory, east of Sepulveda.
Of course, every time they
supposedly get out in the rural county, they are actually driving
right by this cache.
