Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab at a local monument to our military. Yes, it is in an odd location for a memorial. Take a moment and look at it as you search out this little hide. The hide is not within the landscaped area of the monument.

Bring your own pen/pencil.

This is another hide to help those with nagging injuries heal and continue to feed the caching beast. Cache on, stay healthy.

What is it;
Plantar fasciitis (say "PLAN-ter fash-ee-EYE-tus") is the most common cause of heel pain. The
plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes. It supports the arch of your foot. If you strain your plantar fascia, it gets weak, swollen, and irritated (inflamed). Then your heel or the bottom of your foot hurts when you stand or walk.

Remedy;

No single treatment works best for everyone with plantar fasciitis. But there are many things you can try to help your foot get better:

  • Give your feet a rest. Cut back on caching that make your feet hurt. Try not to walk or run on hard surfaces. NO CACHING!
  • To reduce pain and swelling, try putting ice on your heel after caching.
  • Get a new pair of caching shoes. Pick hides that are cache and dash.
As always seek a doctors advice if you are hurting.
