November 2014 Event: Scavenger Hunt
We will be at Ft. McAllister State Park near Richmond Hill, GA
Saturday November 8, 2014 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The November 2014 GGA event will be at Ft. McAllister! We will meet at 1:00 pm at fort parade ground. Look for the GGA tent and banner..
THERE IS PARK ENTRANCE FEE of $5.00 per car to enter the park.
There will also be a $5.00 historic site fee above the park entrance fee. If you are only coming to the GGA meeting you will have to pay this since we will be meeting inside the historic site (the prizes and activity will be worth it). If you are camping with the Geo-campers you will already have had to pay this. It is a one time fee for entrance into the historic site, which is separate from the state park.
At 1:00 we will give the coords to the temporary caches hidden in and around the fort. We will also provide the list of scavenger hunt items at this time. The hunt will only last for 2 hours. At 3:00 you must return to the GGA tent for scoring and prize selection.
As always donations of snacks, drinks, and prize table items are welcome!
This event is in association with the Georgia Geo-campers who will be camping at the parade grounds this weekend.
