This cache is located along the Caples Creek Trail. Specifically it
is near the Jack Schneider Meadow approximately 2.2 miles from the
actual trailhead.
This trail is fairly easy considering this was our six year old
daughter's first real hike but it is a true hike. There is an
overall elevation gain but its pretty minimal. It's alot of open
trail but some rocky sections that mountain bikers may have to
walk. The trail is great and follows along Caples Creek. Some of
the shaded sections have some mosquito issues as there is some
standing water in many spots in the spring/summer. There are plenty
of places for some dispersed camping if so inclined. The cache is a
large sized plastic container. Inside there is a Girl Scout hiking
patch for any scouts who make it to this cache. Please bring your
camera!!!
