Redmond Rotary Picnic Area on the Sammamish River Trail
The cache has been replaced with a 2.5-inch by 6-inch plastic tube. The tube is large enough for small items only.
The cache is located along the Sammamish River Trail, but on the less used west side. GPSr signals may be in and out along the trees. It is a nice spot for a lunchtime picnic.
Parking may be a problem. There is a small pull-out area north of the overpass for access to the trail for City vehicles. The coordinates are:
N47 40.436
W 122 07.996
I parked there and did not have any problem. Other parking areas are located about a 1/3 mile north in a business park. Access to the trail is then at the northwest corner of the complex, just south of the 85th street bridge.
