The cache is located at Burgh island near Bigbury on sea in the south hams.
Parking on the main sea front car park will cost you but there is an alternative at N50 17.O41 W003 53.221 which will cost you £2 for the day and you will want to stay there for a while, and it is only a short walk down the hill to the beach.
The Hotel on the island is quite famous and expensive to stay in,as there have been many films made there and gmtv have used it as inch loss island.
Also Agatha Christie is supposed to have stayed there and wrote one of her books, and all the rooms are themed at the hotel eg:Noel Coward suite.
The coords for the cache were pretty accurate as good sat reception but please keep dogs and kids on a short leash as there are steep cliffs.
Half of the island is private and is owned by the hotel so please keep to the public paths which are well posted.
There is also abundant bird life on the island eg:cormoronts and gulls with young. The tractor which takes you across when the tide is in is 60p for adults and 40p for kids and the Pilchard inn is good for a pint on the way back! Please be discreet at the cache site as it can be busy at times. This cache has disappeared twice now,but managed to retreive the second one from cliff face. Please be careful when retreiving the cache and do keep your kids on the path!!Please replace the cache as you found it so it cannot be seen.
