Under The Boardwalk Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Quiggle: As there's been no cache to find for months, and it does not look like the cache is going to be replaced, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Should you choose to replace it in the future, please contact me through my profile and if the cache meets the current guidelines, it can be reactivated.

Oh, when the sun beats down and burns the tar up on the roof
And your shoes get so hot you wish your tired feet were fire-proof
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea, yeah
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be

From the park you hear the happy sound of a carousel
Mm-mm, you can almost taste the hot dogs and French fries they sell
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea, yeah
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be

Chorus:
(Under the boardwalk) out of the sun
(Under the boardwalk) we'll be havin' some fun
(Under the boardwalk) people walking above
(Under the boardwalk) we'll be making love
Under the board-walk (board-walk!)

______________________________________________________
This is a multi cache. The first part is a microcache that contains the coordinates to the offset. The area of the microcache is heavily populated during the peak season, especially the weekends. Very early (bike hours) or evening might be better then. Please don't reveal the cache if others are close by. There is no digging required. You also do not have to pass the fence (though it is usually broken).

The offset is about a 3/4 mile stroll. The recommendation is to walk along the boardwalk until the GPS shows a direction 90 degrees to the direction of travel, then go get it. The cache is being guarded by a friend up high. The cache is a typical flat kitchen type container. It is being started with beach items and a special prize for the first to find it. We hope you enjoy this! 6/7/04 Part 2 of the cache had disappeared. It was replaced. Please, rehide it very well!! Also, since originally placed, a lot of planting/growth has occurred. Be careful not to step on young plantings. You can see the hiding place from the grass though the best route to it may be from the side.

9/17/04 Part 1, the micro, was last found on 9/8. Though there have been no finds, this one is pretty well disguised in plain view so I am confident it still exists. However, it is likely that Part 2, the regular cache is again missing. I will not be able to check on it for 3 weeks. Rather than disabling the cache until then, you can make it a virtual by e-mailing me one of the following:
1. What was the hiding place? 2. What is on guard up high (specific species)?

10/11/04 The both parts of the caches were checked. Part 1 is still in place. Unfortunatley, Part 2 had been muggled for a second time. I have decided to not put a regular cache back. However, I have replaced it with a micro. The new micro is a white 5 inch cylinder. It contains the answer to the question: "What is guarding me?" There is no log so to get credit for the find, e-mail me the answer. Please make sure you wedge the cache back where it was. It contains 3 pins. It is large enough to trade pins but nothing more.

Now since I am annoyed by the muggles, I have placed a second micro in the same area but different spot. It is a 3 inch clear tube with the same answer as above. The third clue is for this one. I hope you get to continue to enjoy!

8/26/05-Unfortunately, one of the reasons for having you walk to the location of the second cache has been removed. It used to sit on a perch. I am assuming it was removed temporarily for repairs as a wing had previously been missing. But, perhaps it was muggled big time. So the question you have to answer is what WAS on the perch? The answer is in one of the two micros and must be correctly e-mailed to log the find.
