This is the City. My name is Friday; I carry a GPSr.

I came to the Verdugos to investigate some geocaches and a dashpoint. My partners and I found a place to hide a cache of our own; on the day in question, it had a spectacular view of Los Angeles, from downtown to Long Beach to Palos Verdes to Orange County. The cache is in a round, green can, coated with clear, rust-resistant paint. We put the usual suspects inside: a Where's George dollar, a calculator, a magnetic keychain, a Canadian Geocoin, some glow-in-the-dark stars and a few other things, plus the obligatory logbook, pen and note in a ZipLoc bag. Just the facts: the cache is a little off the main trail, on a game trail. We saw no poison oak, but the other bushes might obscure the game trail a bit. Just keep following your GPSr; our three agreed within a thousandth of a minute in each direction. Bring a pair of pruners, if you think they might help; they are there to serve and to protect you.

Good luck!

This is the city. My name is bovine. I produce methane. And find caches when I'm not doing that...

Detoured for this one on the way back down from Chris' Salem Overlook. A paved road?! Beware of bees in the telephone pole stump near the cache. Found the cache just before midnight.

Our first find of the day as we trekked from Sunshine St. over to Stough Canyon. A short diversion off Las Flores, but we enjoyed the view. Took post-it notes, left a Webkinz figurine. TFTC!

This is the City. My name is Friday. I carry a Gate Key. Had business up here today and this one was too close to ignore. Google Earth made it look like a quick P&G, but I still had to bushwack the last 50 feet. TFTC!!
