Geocache Description:

Ladies and gentlemen! Start your engines! The Spring 2015 Cache and Release weekend is upon us and we're raring to go! This is a fun, two-day celebration of geocaching excellence, for the entire family, novice or experienced! You're all welcome to join us!

If you are hiding a cache for CCARS15 or just wish to see information about the cache hiding categories, please visit our website: CCARS15 Info

We'll start the day at 9:00 am with a pull-up to our version of a Filling Station! All vehicles should be back out on the road after 9:30 am and before 10:00 am.

Come down to the parking lot at the posted coordinates (721 46th Ave SE - at the corner of Blackfoot Trail SE), and get your car and passengers ready for a two-day marathon of geocaching goodies! Join the line that wraps around the back of the building and wait to be called to the front, stay in your vehicle as things will move fast! You'll be outta here afore ye know it!

We're starting our weekend early so you can be on the road sooner, and finding caches for longer, with time left over on Sunday for the other things in our lives! Please do not start looking for CCARS15 caches until 10:00am on Saturday 25th April, 2015!

There'll be plenty of new, inventive caches to find, and lots of fun camaraderie along the way, you'll need tons of energy so this is your chance to top-up before you run out.

Once you start seeking out the caches that have been hidden for CCARS15, keep note of your favourite from each category as, after the weekend, we will ask you to vote for those you consider to be the best!

Pimp Your Ride!

Get your vehicles ready for Cache and Release before you show up! Whether you’re CCAR-pooling or a convoy of one, it’s nice to be recognised! See that car up ahead? Is it? Could it be? Are they? Who was that?! Pull out all your old Cache and Release decorations (car flags, mirror covers, etc.) and decorate your car. The crazier, the better! Don’t forget to write your team name(s) on the windows and set your odometers to zero! Our Pump-Em Up Jockeys will check your vehicle for Cache and Release visibility. (Don’t worry, our trained, white-gloved hands will not touch your vehicle - we’ll give you a self-install kit.)

Now what?!

Once you have given a cheery wave to our jockeys, you are on your way! We’re giving you as much time as possible to reassemble your convoys, get your maps turned right-way up, and vamoose to where you need to be before the 26-hour finding frenzy starts at 10:00am! (You will receive an envelope with CCARS15 info inside and we’ll make a printable map available a day or two prior to the weekend.)

CITO!

And as we CITO-all-Day™ please accept a bag of cleanup goodies! Found garbage, trash and debris? Bring your filled bags to the Clean-Up/Wrap-Up event on Sunday for the group photograph!*

You'll appreciate a chance to regroup, stretch your legs, and refuel your bodies, at midnight, at our favourite midnight Pit Stop - the Blackfoot Truck Stop and Diner. We’ve also got a FREE picnic on Sunday, after our park clean-up ends, at 12-noon! We look forward to seeing you whenever you can join in!

Please log a will-attend on this event so we can better gauge numbers.

*We’d like to make the CITO-all-Day™ a regular thing, so we kindly ask that you return your CITO kit bags at the Clean-Up/Wrap-Up event or any time afterwards if you are unable to attend, so we can refill them and get them ready for the next event.
