****Fellow cacher, GratefulMike, has written his take on this
cache (and its companion cache). Click
Here to read his excellent work.****
Here's an easy 1/1 find that
shouldn't take long. The cache is in the tree. The tree is located
at the north west side of the intersection of Illinois Routes 133
and 49. There you will find a wide spot in the road that is often
used as a parking spot for farmers, commuters, state workers and
others. There you will find a tree. The cache is in the
tree.
Lest you think I am tricking you some how, let me assure you,
there is only one tree. I measured and the next closest tree is
about a quarter mile away. It's not THAT tree. It's the tree that
these coordinates will take you to. If you follow the coordinates
you will find a tree. The cache is in the tree.
The cache is a black decon
container which is located in the tree. It is suspended inside the
tree with parachute cord and is clipped to a swivel snap tied on to
said parachute cord. You'll find a hole on the north side of the
tree. Reach in and up and you will find the cache. There is a
pencil in the cache (thanks to RiverExporer, I'm
guessing).
Note: If you do not find the cache then it is most likely
missing. Please let me know. Otherwise, the cache is in the
tree.
Also please note: When you replace the cache, there is a
small "shelf-like" area inside the tree that you can set the
container on and keep it well-hidden. Please re-attach the cache to
the parachute cord and try to place it there.
I've stopped at this tree several times and very often I find
some trash laying around the tree. If you have time and are so
inclined, please CITO (Cache In
Trash Out) while you're there. It would be much
appreciated.
There are no hints for this cache because there really aren't
any needed. THE CACHE IS IN THE TREE!!!! |
