Near overlook at top of Hickory Nut Mtn.
Park at the overlook parking lot and then walk down the road to the east. This cache is NOT at the overlook because there are always so many visitors. Except today when the temperture was almost 100! Do not be concerned if the road gate is closed. It is closed when the weather conditions have been bad and a non-4-wheel drive vehicle would have problems. 4 wheelers and hikers are always welcome.
Be sure to take time to look out over Lake Ouachita and the Ouachita National Forest. The view is spectacular. And you will be looking over an area that as of this date contains 4 caches, not counting this one.
