Geocache Description:

This is the Highest Lighthouse operating in the world today.

This has been the World's Highest Working Lighthouse since 1921.

Beautiful scenery along a nature trail. Currently, you can walk to the lighthouse and explore its hiding nicks and nooks.

When the water level of Lake Tahoe is higher, you have to boat or wade to the lighthouse. The wading is simple, about average waist height and only a few yards to the lighthouse at the most.

This cache is located inside the Zberg Natural area of SugarPine Point Park. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED unless you approach the lighthouse by water vessel.

SO WHERE IS THE WORLD'S HIGHEST LIGHTHOUSE even if it is not currently working? You are in luck... It is nearby and it has a geocache waiting for you to discover. Just 4.6 miles away, see Good Time Charlie's "LIGHTEN UP II" (Waypoint GCJQ2J). It is a great geocache hide and an awesome walk along some of the most beautiful scenery you will see anywhere in the world.

If the cache is velcroed, please reattach it to it's velcro.
