There will be eleven event caches placed. Three event caches will be placed for the Geocaching Seminar, but will be available all day for cachers to find.

Eight event caches will be placed for The Winterfest Amazing Race, including two roadblocks and two detours. For those of you playing the Amazing Race, you will need to find five of the game caches in order to be eligible to win The Winterfest Amazing Race. If you take the 'Fast Forward' by participating in the Polar Bear Plunge, you will only be required to find three caches. All team members must take the plunge to be eligible for the Fast Forward. The Fast Forward does not guarantee you will win, but it greatly increases your chances.
