Dobby's Home Cache is located along the Fred Woods Trail near Driftwood PA. The trail is generally level but quite rocky in spots. Cachers hiking the full 5 mile loop will encounter beautiful rock formations, spectacular vistas and possibly an occasional elk or rattlesnake. The cache is fairly difficult to find and should provide a good challenge.
The trail can be reached by taking the Mason Hill road .9 miles out of Driftwood. **warning: road is steep and rough with no winter maintenance.** The trailhead is located 3.7 miles from rt. 555 at 41° 21.761' N, 78° 11.001' W. The cache is a .50 cal. ammo can which contains a variety of items. This is the original home of Dobby the hitchhiker. *NOTE* The cache was placed in a different location on April 18, 2008. Please make sure you note the updated coordinates.
