Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the above coordinates.

Chess, in my opinion the perfect game. An ancient game which truly blends skill and art.

I first learned the game years ago during Bobby Fischer’s match against Boris Spassky in which he wrested the World Championship title from the Russians. He was not, however, America’s first World Champ. Paul Morphy laid claim to that title back in the mid 19th century. As a history teacher and chess player, I would love to have been able to see Morphy vs Fischer. It would have been a brilliant match!

In order to get there you simply have to decipher the code in the picture above. You will be working with the top three lines only. If you want you may email me your coordinates and I will verify them before you head out. Once you get there you need to follow all directions for this location in terms of being open and parking. This is a favorite spot for Enon’s finest. If you happen to be an out of towner just stopping by, drop me an email a few days in advance and I will give you the coords to make it a regular cache for you.
