This cache is placed in honor of my wife's brother who decided to join the Army at the age of 33. He's worked long and hard for the last 4 months (May to Oct) to ready himself for this day, and today (10/5/04) he has left for basic training. We will miss him dearly. 4 years is a long time and he has some big plans and reasons for doing this. We wish him the best of luck and we know that he will do well.
The cache container is a .50 cal ammo can that is full of things that are related to the Army. When trading items please keep with the theme of Army. Also when you sign the log book please tell us if you served in our armed forces, where, when, rank, etc... We are interested to know. We will also send the log book to him so that he can read it when it is full.
