A nostalgic trip to the ole swimmin' hole.
Where did all these houses come from? Boy has this area grown!
I don't think kids swim here anymore considering the build up of water hyacinth in the pools, but when we were growing up this was one of the favorite swimming holes. It was a blast to jump off the bridge and down into the cisterns. "Splash!"
These days it remains an interesting feature of the flood control system along Alligator Slough.
