WHAT A GREAT
DAY!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK
YOU...
to all the committee heads, members and volunteers who made
this event possible. It could not have been done without
you.
I think a special thanks has to go to PLANET whose
undying devotion and hard work both before, during and after the
event were unsurpassed. I think next year she needs some more help.
Thanks also to:
RJFerret for monitoring cache placement and his unique
"Connect The Dots" night cache.
Clan Delaney for the fantastic mapping of the campsites so
we could all find eachother
1NatureMom for keeping all our younger cachers busy and
making them feel part of the family
Katydid & Miles Stone for keeping track of all our
Travel Bugs
Bigrock95 for the "Dash To The Cache" and other games that
he provided.
Zucher for the great amount of time it took to set up his
unique "Kettletown at Night 2" cache,
and to so many of you that provided caches, grills, boiling pots,
charcoal, food, utencils and hospitality to our newer cachers.
Some stats:
TOTAL TEAMS: 126
TOTAL PEOPLE: 209
GPS Winner: Canadian Gal
GMRS Radios Winner: Climbermom
Distant Travalers: Virginia, Maine and Minnesota ! Thanks for
coming!
I still have Geocoins left and will sell then to all attendees
for the Jamboree price ($6 + shipping). Just e-mail me
(Geojamboree@aol.com) I will also bring them to any other events I
go to throughout the summer.
And don't forget to share your pics with us.
A final note: Cache owners, don't forget to stop by the park
sometime in the near futuure as your log books may need replacing
after all these finds - especially those mini's and micro's.
SEE YOU NEXT
YEAR

There are several ways to get there for you locals. But for
out-of-towners, I would suggest getting of Rt. 84 at Exit
15, follow the brown, then the green signs to Kettletown
State Park (Kettletown Rd.) to Georges Hill Road (N.41°26.781
W.73°11.324). Follow road to park entrance (N.41°25.817
W.73°12.079).
Please post a note to let us know if you are coming and what you
will be bringing for the picnic. Keep an eye on this page for
changes as we get closer to the event.
Also check the
forum for discussion about the
event.
