Visit one of the best views in town, as well as a well-known
landmark that many of you have seen, but never come close to.
This beacon has been on top of this very high hill in Redwood City
for 50 years or so (sorry, we don't have any exact dates). We've
always been meaning to visit it to see what's up there, so just
over two years today we found the right roads, walked up to it, and
planted a cache.
And then the Redwood City police came. And that cache is now gone.
The cache was then replaced and was placed in a new spot. BUT, that
cache is now missing. :(
Now the cache is a total drive up in a different spot and has been
changed to a micro.
This landmark has been under fire by many in the community who have
a cross to bear with landmarks of this type. We hope it stays
around for a long time because it really is a beacon to many
people, as well as just being historic.
The views from up here are great! You can even see downtown San
Jose on a clear day. Getting up here will be the hardest part of
the trip! Good luck!
