Breakfast on Salt Creek LIX Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Heartland Cacher: Everyone has had time to log his/her attendance. If not, listing is not locked, which also goes if the CO wants to add some additional remarks. Archiving the event prevents it from appearing on pocket queries unnecessarily.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

This event will be held in Harold and Thelma's basement upstairs At Cheri O's. That will all make perfect sense, once you are near the coordinates, not far from the intersection of Silver and 14th Streets in Ashland.
Time: 9:00-ish to 11:00-ish. That's AM and CDT, of course.

It is surprising how many geocachers found their way upstairs to the basement. It must take a special kind of geo-logic to do so. Therefore, we'll keep this up every first Saturday of every month henceforth and forevermore.

There is one flight of stairs to climb, thus the terrain rating of 1.5

Ashland was known as Saline Ford in the 1840s and 50s. This was the only natural rock-bottom ford of Salt Creek between the future capital of Nebraska and the Platte River. It was used by the military and settlers moving west who preferred the Oxbow Trail along the south side of the Great Platte River Road.
