FETTERMAN MASSACRE Cache is in a 7" x 7" watertight box.
A VERY interesting stop, that also makes some of the local area history available. And the view of the Big Horns is spectacular from here. Definately take the time to walk the whole trail and read each of the information plates at each stop - it paints quite a story...
Take the Storey / Piney Creek exit from I-90 to reach old Highway 87. Follow Hwy 87 1.8 miles from Interstate exit to an intersection where you will have to take a right in order to be able to continue on Hwy 87 (which becomes a dead end at the Fetterman Massacre site). You will need to continue on old Hwy 87 for another 2 miles after the intersection to reach the monument site.
Cache containes: Log-Book, Camera, and LOTS of Treasure! (cowboy keychain, bouncy ball, red glow stick, red scissors, pink sunglasses, orange heart carabiner, blue pencil grip, purple kalidoscope, snake, yellow jack, pink flower erasure, glass squiggle, etc... SO TAKE LOTS!!!)
