Geocache Description:

Snuva was wondering why no one had placed a cache here yet, but then she realised that those damn ducks watch every move you make!

Enjoy the area, which Snuva thinks is probably the lavender potpourri capital of the southern hemisphere. But there are many reasons to come here: The beautiful countryside, the wineries you will pass on the way, the fine craftsmanship available in some of the shops nearby, and the history. The place is oozing in history. The only thing you'll find more of than history (and lavender potpourri) in this area is DUCKS! And Snuva observes these are very well fed ducks! Snuva would like to chase them and get them back into shape!! Bark, bark!!

OK, Snuva has been restrained and is calming down. Dogs are allowed in this area - and there are even brown bags provided - but we recommend they be restrained. Yes, even though the ducks look a bit plump and well fed.

To ensure that cachers don't start looking the same (did Snuva mention the Devonshire teas available nearby?), you'll need to take a short walk to score this cache. You'll probably want to take an even longer walk afterwards to take in the sights.

At the coordinates listed above, note the letters and numbers on the prominent feature.

  • To the numbers under 'A', add 17; we'll call this AA.
  • To the numbers under 'D', subtract 7;  we'll call this DD.

Then wander along to S42 44.2AA by E147 26.5DD. This takes you to an aea with fewer muggles and more cach. Enjoy!
