symboliek waar veel theorieën over bestaan.
bekende magische vierkanten in Europa.
Pas rond 1300 dringen magische vierkanten door in de Europese
cultuur.
In
berekenen.
Alle plekken beginnen met N 51°58, E 005°42. Er wordt steeds
gerekend met TWEE decimalen. Voor de parkeerplek zijn dit dus 85 en
afgebeelde reptielen
T = aantal afgebeelde vogels in het kwadraat – aantal afgebeelde
reptielen
Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528) was the most important German
painter/engraver in the renaissance. He was also very skilled in
maths and he wrote several books on this subject. His most studied
engraving is called Melancholia. This work is stuffed with
symbolism on which many theories exist.
The engraving includes a magic square, containing the year of
production (1514). This is one of the earlier known squares in
Europe . Only just around 1300 magic squares find their way in
European culture. In Arabic and Oriental civilisation, where magic
squares are known much earlier, the square is part of religion and
special powers are drawn from it. In Europe the square was used
purely in a mathematical way.
The earliest magic square are found in China about 4000 to 5000
years ago. . In the ancient time of China , there was a huge flood.
The people tried to offer some sacrifice to the 'river god' of the
'Lo' river, to calm his anger. Then there emerged from the water a
turtle with a curious figure/pattern on its shell to inspect the
offerings. A child figured out what the figures meant and could
determine the correct number of offerings.
Many different forms of magic squares exist. An important rule
is that all numbers in every column, row diagonal form the same
sum. In the case of Dührer this total is 34.
Apply the following rules to find the cache.
The route starts at a parking space at the above mentioned
coordinate. Every next waypoint and eventually the cache itself can
be found using a magic square of 3x3. To get the right coordinates
use the key. Values for X and Y can be found at the location. A and
B are numbers with which you can calculate the coordinates of the
next waypoint.
All waypoints start with N 51°58, E 005°42. For all calculations
you need TWO decimals. For the parking space these are 85 en 53.
Next waypoint is positioned at N51°58.(85 + A), E 005°42.(53 + B).
To go to the next waypoint use the calculated coordinates from
waypoint 1 and the there found values A and B, continue this way
till you found the cache.
Every square can be solved using a chain of 9 numbers.
Difference between two successive numbers is the same. Numbers can
be positive, negative and fractions. Extra clues can be found as: H
= highest number, L = lowest number or T = total of the numbers in
a row/column.
Good luck solving the squares.
At the parking place:
X = distances of the blue routes added and multiplied by 10
Y = sum of the numbers from the Oostereng telephone number –
amount of reptiles
T = amount of birds raised to the square – amount reptiles
