Geocache Description:

I titled this one as a CITO Adventure as it is somewhat remote and may be difficult to get to depending on weather.

I visited this area in July of 2013 and was impressed by the location and formations.

This area is owned by the State of Montana but is not a State Park so it receives no attention unless some type of situation arises that FWP or Law Enforcement needs to be called. It appears to have become a party location and as of the time I was there it needed some serious CITO.

The area is accessed by crossing private land that is open for public access to Rock City. The road would be very difficult to access if it is wet so this event may be weather dependent. I’ll keep check on this and advise as we get closer to the date.

I will provide garbage sacks, water, small grill and table, hot dogs, buns and condiments. If you would like to bring any additional items or beverages that would be great, please post so others are aware.  If you wish, also bring some type of folding camp chairs, they may come in handy.

We will also need some rakes, and/or shovels.  I would suggest some type of gloves.  I don’t have a pickup truck but it would be appreciated if someone could bring one to haul out and dispose of what we collect.

The area is ten miles straight north of Valier and sits above the Two Medicine River. It does not have any bathroom facilities, as a matter of fact and to be honest, it has no facilities.

It is also located in an area that has some steep cliffs and may have snake issues.  Most of the area is open with no vegetation but who knows what might be passing through the area.  If you bring children this area has a lot of tall rock formations to crawl on so they should be watched closely and, as with any cache, everyone needs to be careful.

I will be at the Panther Café Parking Lot in Valier  at 0930 if anyone wants to meet and follow me to the location.  We should be at the location by 1000 and probably work till noon and then have lunch and then disperse at our leasure.

I will be checking with local LE and FWP in that area and advising them of the event.

I will be posting updates if needed as we get closer to the event.
