Geocache Description:

I've run by this small secluded meadow many times, but havn't really noticed it. At least, I had never gone down in it. It drew my attention yesterday morning because of the distinct popping sound of air guns emanating from it. I spoke with one young man who was dressed in a camouflage outfit, and realized there was a little game of paintball about to start.

It seemed like a good place to hide a cache (when the shooting was over!), and also a nice place to let our dog loose to roam around and have some fun. So that's what we did today.

I called up some friends to join in on the fun. We came with The4Ts and MeCaveman, who also brought their dog. I want to say it was a "dog day," because even as we approached the meadow, we ran into another family we knew that were there walking their dog.

It seems like this area serves as sort of a playground for some of the kids in the neighborhood. There is a large mound of dirt nearby that some kids were building up as we were finding a spot for the cache.

If someone knows a better word than "meadow" that describes this place, please email us. One of Webster's definitions for meadow is: "low, level grassland near a stream, lake, etc." That fits pretty well, but somehow, I think there must be an even better word that describes this place.

If you drive to the coordinates, you can get very close, but you don't have to get your feet wet to get to the cache.
