[CZ] Cache se nachází na trase ropovodu Družba, na hranicích krajů Vysočina a Jihomoravského kraje, v lesích poblíž obce Ludvíkov.
[EN] The cache is placed on the route of oil pipeline Družba, on the border of Jihomoravský and Vysocina regions, in forests near the town of Ludvíkov.
[CZ] Ropovod Družba je nejdelším ropovodem sveta a spojuje státy bývalé RVHP a státy bývalého SSSR. Ropovod zacíná v Samare v jihovýchodní cásti evropského Ruska, kam se sbíhají další ropovody ze Sibire, Uralu a Kazachstánu. Poté pokracuje západním smerem až do beloruského mesta Mozyr, kde se rozdvojuje na severní vetev (vedoucí do Polska a Nemecka) a na jižní (spojující Ukrajinu, Madarsko, Slovensko a Ceskou republiku).Ropovod Družba byl prvním ropovodem vedoucím po ceském území. V roce 1962 byl doveden do Bratislavy a v roce 1965 prodloužen do Záluží u Mostu. Do roku 1989 dováželo tehdejší Ceskoslovensko rocne až 18 milionu tun ropy z bývalého SSSR výhradne tímto ropovodem. Pádem „železné opony“ v roce 1989 se pro nás otevrely možnosti dovozu ropy z kapitalistického sveta a vymanení se z jednostranné závislosti na Rusku. Roku 1990 byl zprovoznen ropovod Adria, „pripravený“ již od roku 1984 a vybudovaný jako spolecné dílo bývalé Jugoslávie, Madarska a Ceskoslovenska. Od roku 2022, kdy Rusko napadlo Ukrajinu, se ČR snaží zbavit závislosti na dodávkách ropy a plynu z Ruska. Objem ruské ropy v ropovodu Družba stále klesá a od roku 2025 by měla být ruská ropa zcela nahrazena ropou proudící do ČR ropovodem TAL z italského Terstu.

Cache se nachází na trase ropovodu, na hranicích kraje Vysocina a kraje Jihomoravského. Pokud byste chteli najít trasu ropovodu na mapách hledali byste marne. Na vetšine bežných map se trasa ropovodu neuvádí z vojensko-strategických duvodu. Pokud se ale podíváte na souradnice cache na letecké mape (napr. na www.mapy.cz) zjistíte, že trasu ropovodu mužete krásne sledovat jako pruh vykáceného lesa táhnoucího se krajinou. Pokud se od cache vydáte po trase ropovodu na severo-západ, narazíte po 3km, u mestecka Velká Bíteš, na jednu z tlakových stanic, která mohutnými cerpadly udržuje stálý tlak a tím prutok ropy v ropovodu. Ve Velké Bíteši doporucuji navštívit jednu z mnoha výborných a vyhlášených restaurací. Trasa ropovodu v techto místech je také ideálním terénem pro vyznavace cykloturistiky ci bežeckého lyžování. Dá se po ní jet desítky kilometru uprostred krásných lesu.
Pro auto-kešery doporucuji zaparkovat auto na souradnicích N49°15,269´ E16°15,482´ v obci Ludvíkov a odtud jít pešky (700m).
Samotná cache je dosti velká (5 l kbelík) na výmenu vetších predmetu. Micro a Small keší už bylo dost :-)
[EN] Oil pipeline Družba is the longest pipeline in the world and it connects former members of COMECON (Council for Mutual Economic Aid) and states of former USSR. The pipeline starts in Samara in southeast part of European Russia, where other pipelines from Siberia, Ural and Kazakhstan merge. Then it continues towards west all the way to Belorussian city of Mozyr, where it divides in the northern branch (leading to Poland and Germany) and southern branch (connecting the Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic). Družba was the first oil pipeline passing across the Czech territory. In 1962 it reached Bratislava and in 1965 it was extended to Záluží u Mostu. Before 1989, former Czechoslovakia had imported yearly up to 18 million tonnes of petroleum from former USSR exclusively by this pipeline. Fall of the „iron curtain“ in 1989 opened options of importing oil from the „capitalist“ world and extricating from a one-sided dependency on Russia. In 1990, oil pipeline Adria was launched, ready since 1984, built as a common scheme of former Yugoslavia, Hungary and Czechoslovakia.

The cache is placed on the pipeline route, on the border of Vysocina and Jihomoravský regions. If you would like to find the pipeline track on maps, you would search in vain. Most common maps do not show the pipeline route for military-strategic reasons. However, if you have a look at the cache coordinates on an air map (for example www.mapy.cz), you will find out that the pipeline route can be easily tracked as a strip of cleared woods, running through the countryside. If you go along the pipeline route from the cache to the north-west, after 3 km you will reach at the town of Velká Bíteš one of pressure stations, which by its heavy pumps keeps constant pressure and thus petroleum flow in the pipeline. In Velká Bíteš, I recommend you visit one of many excellent and renowned restaurants. The pipeline route in that area is also an ideal ground for cycling and cross-country skiing. You can go there for dozens of kilometres in beautiful forests. I recommend that car-cachers park at coordinates N49°15,269´ E16°15,482´ in the town of Ludvíkov and walk from there (700m). The cache itself is quite large (a three-litre bucket) to exchange rather big objects. There have been enough Micro a Small caches :-)
