This site is a real treat to visit! It's not often you find crumbling 100+ year old ruins in the middle of the prairie. The cache is well hidden, but you shouldn't have to move any rocks. There is something on top of the cache obscuring it. Please leave the cache as you found it.
This cache is part of the Turtle Mountain-Souris Plains Geocaching Heritage Tour! All of our geocache sites are situated in places that have stories from the past that are begging to be told. Each of our caches contain Heritage Story Cards which describe the heritage site. This is our way of getting visitors and locals out on the land and interacting with the fascinating history of southwestern Manitoba. We encourage you to collect as many Story Cards as you can! Cache contents: Heritage Story Cards, logbook, pencil. Please record your visit in the logbook. Happy Geocaching!
