Geocache Description:

Historic Victorian homes are sprinkled throughout this area of Placerville.

Placerville is a charming California "gold rush" town named after the placer gold deposits found in its’ river beds and hills in the late 1840’s. Placerville’s treasured heritage is reflected in the historical, nineteenth century architecture of it’s downtown core. The homes in the area across from historic Main Street are wonderful examples of Victorian architecture, with multiple colors, gingerbread trim and gold rush charm. DO NOT LEAVE THE SIDEWALK AND ENTER ANY YARDS Congrats to Wandadoo and Geotigger for being the first to find! I did the happy dance too! Next time stop in and say hello!
