MERRY CACHMAS

The Cache is NOT at the listed Coordinates.
Here is a little gift to all the people we have met over the last three years geocaching.

This fun 3 part multi-cache will find you teaming up with a cacher YOU have probably never met… and may never meet! The idea is to work with someone on the other side of the continent in order to find the cache. Sounds to hard you say?? Well, actually it easier than you may think.

At waypoint #1 will find you be looking for something with the coordinates in Virginia!! YES!!! Virginia. Once you find those coordinates, search out a cacher in the general area of the coordinates. E-mail them letting them know what you are doing, give them the coordinates for waypoint #2, and have them retrieve the coordinates for the final cache… here in California. Once you have found the cache, please sign the log with both your name as well as the person who helped you with the find. Be sure to notify the cacher who helped with the find, give them the GC#, and BOTH of you will be entitled to log the find!! In your log, please include the name of the cacher who helped you with the find. After all, you didn’t do it alone. Of course, if you want, you are welcomed to do it alone if you so desire.

From the nearest parking to the cache is about a quarter mile walk with an uphill grade. Nothing to extreme, so do not worry!! If the kids join in, be sure to have the grown-ups do the searchng around GZ. NEVER reach under or into anything in this area without clearing carefully with a stick. One just never knows what may be lerking there!

Everyone should try and find different cachers to help you out. That way more people will be able to enjoy the fun. After all, anyone can contact the same person over and over again but where’s the fun in that? I’m sure everyone will enjoy caching with someone you have never met.

Don’t be to shocked if someone in Virginia contacts you first. There is a similar cache in Virginia(GC17TXP). So you may be teaming up with that same person or maybe someone else??

Happy Caching & Have Fun!!
Mountain Lovers

Congratulations to: martinusen & the girls and I on a well deserved combined First to Find!!!

Tried this one with Redbaroness and DOT183 almost a year ago, but it was gone. We had plans to go back and get it once it got replaced, then I threw my back out on the day we were supposed to get it. They went without me, so I guess that is why it took me so long. Nystgirl in VA was the one who helped us with this one. It was rather hot today and the street had a barrier, closed to the public, due the the red flag fire danger warning. I decided to take a chance and take the half a mile steep walk up there. I am glad I did. It was right where it was supposed to be. Thanks for the great multicache and the excercise!

TFTC And thanks for the series! Special thanks to carlosguerrera for turning this one around so quickly! If I read my e-mail records correctly, we were able to find this one and its sister cache in less than a week. This is also my first California cache logged. Again Thanks for the fantastic opportunity and great caching experience!

This is Cache # 284 for me.

Found this one in partnership with karo92. Made my way to the 3rd stage of this cache and signed the log for myself and karo92. Thanks for all your hard work karo92. Thank you, the owners, for this amazing cache.

In May I started searching for someone to do the "With a Little Help From a Friend" - pair of multis. I was finally referred to shell1fish and with her help we were able to find all of the stages and complete both multis. This was a lot of fun and it was nice to work with shell1fish to make the finds. Thanks for the fun. TNLNSL.

Through the help of Mom!Mom!Mom!, wetfit and I teamed up to work on this pair of caches. WP1 was easy to find but difficult to read. Luckily, the linked picture convinced me that I was sending the right coordinates to my geo-buddy, and wetfit didn't waste any time picking up WP2. Tonight, mdawaffe and I came out for a sunset stroll to grab the final. The cache had come up in discussions, so we knew right where to look and made a fast grab as the full moon began its rise. Picked up Anne Bonney's New Mexico 2007 Geocoin #1. Thanks, Mountain Lovers, for a great way to meet other cachers.
