Geocache Description:

In 2004 a series of caches were placed to add to the enjoyment of cachers walking the West Highland Way from Milngavie to Fort William , the caches are generally very close to the Way and straightforward to find.

As part of the 2007 Scottish Cache Bash at Beinglas campsite, a few more have been added …..

Inversnaid is quite isolated being at the end of the B829, the road , though scenic its very twisty and single track for much of its route , so don’t expect to “make good time” getting there . The cache is on the hillside above Inversnaid hotel, with a parking area at N56* 14.659 W 004* 40.334

Alternatively , you could park at the Tourist information / pier at Loch Sloy N56*15.100 W004*42.500 and use the Hotel ferry …its quite cheap. (check last ferry times before leaving…. especially in Winter.) I’d recommend following the road to the car park and returning by the footpath , it will put an extra 0.3 Miles on the trip, but avoid the very steep hillside …

The cache follows a signposted public path, and is solid underfoot, though it can be a bit muddy after rain….so boots would be preferable..
The viewpoint is approx. 100 yds. beyond the cache, and the stunning panoramic views justify the wee hike to get there.

The GPSr signal at the foot of the rockface wasn’t very good, ( I was getting 30-50 foot errors) though given enough time to settle, returning to the cache was quite repeatable….. ( Spoiler photo in lieu of clue)
