Suggest ATV or truck/SUV - 4 WHDR not necessary, no cross-ditches on this route. As always be prepared when you go - bring bear spray! Less then 50 meters from parking location.
Amazing - I think those are a few words that can describe some of the old cabins that you run across in the middle of nowhere - The history the stories they must hold.
If you look closely at this one, you can see that it had an enclosed porch - was that so his wife could let the baby have fresh air and not have to worry? Or was it so they could sleep outside at night and not have the bears visit? Only our imagination can tell us.
We do know this is off the Cook Creek FSR and the cabin is below it, and that they've been in the area for eons, so it may have belonged to one of their family members.
All we do know is that it wasn't one of the shacks that Kris's dad used - he made sure that the roof's were stable (well most of the time anyway.. lol)
