Geocache Description:

You are looking for a micro so please bring your own writing stick. This should be a quick park and grab.

Calvary Cemetery is a well-maintained Catholic Cemetery, the cemetery of crosses, which has burials from the 1870s, although the land wasn't bought for the cemetery until 1881. There are unmarked graves in the older section and many of Hot Springs early families are resting here. Please be respectful.

One interesting burial is that of Irish immigrant John King, one of only 19 people who have received two Congressional Medals of Honor. King was buried there after he died in May 1938 while being treated for pneumonia at the Army and Navy General Hospital, now the Rehabilitation Center, that stands guard over downtown Central Avenue. Perhaps you can stop by and pay your respects. He is on the right side of the main entry road as you drive towards the back.
