It seems only fair that we give someone else a chance at a FTF,
now that we have collected a few, so I figured it was time to hide
"My First Micro". But I probably should have named this "Mike's
Foolish Mistake", because as often happens with me and puzzles,
something went wrong. You see, I saved the coordinates on a twenty
year old disk drive, and wouldn't you know it, not three days after
that the silly thing started acting really strange. When I tried to
read the coordinates back again, I ended up with a string of
nonsense characters. I converted them to hex, hoping that might
help, but still couldn't make sense out of them. This is what the
hex values looked like:
a5 25 25 15 25 25 25 2a a5 29
25 15 25 24 a5 29 25 24 a5 24
a5 29 25 12 a5 15 25 2a a5 14
I haven't found anyone who understands what this means or what
to do about it. And since we've barely racked up two-hundred cache
finds, I just can't afford to take time collecting the same
coordinates again. I'll just have to trust that someone out there
can figure this out. Next time I'll know to store important
information on a More Fail-safe Machine.
