Geocache Description:

Another Calgary CITO! This year in Edworthy Park. The coordinates are fixed for the meeting place, but I will be providing coordinates for areas of the park that need extra cleaning and some of these areas will require vehicle travel. I am really hoping we can see a good mixture of old and new cachers - it'd be great to see some of the old-timers whose faces I remember from the original CITOs. Make April 22nd the day to catch up with old friends! 10:00am start. See below for itinerary.

Hey, hey, hey!! It's that time again! We don't care if there's sun or rain!
Debris, litter, garbage, junk, whatever the name; this place ain't gonna look the same!
You can call us geeky, you can call us keen, but the main thing is Edworthy is gonna be clean!
So bring your bags and your gloves, there's only one thing a Geocacher loves
More than picking up trash, and that's finding a good ol' cache!
We'll meet in the morning, so there's your warning!
Carry on through to lunch, and then sit down for food with the cachin' bunch!
Now, I know you already know it, and that is: I ain't no poet!
But I have more to write, and I don't have all night.
The food'll be Pot Luck, not some restaurant muck,
We need a large cake, so I'm looking for someone to make,
And I'll try to get a BBQ pit, right near where we sit,
So in your "Will attend", please state what you can send.
And, in closing, I just want to say, come on down and enjoy the day!

Now there's a need for an update, I hope this is not too late:
We've received a challenge from The Hat, an InterCity game to be exact,
Whereby the city team that collects the most, gets to make the boast
The scores are based on most trash per soul, so there ain't no fixed goal
Except that is, to be the best, and demolish all the rest!
As an incentive, there a prize! Something that will put a shine in your eyes.
You see, those fine folks in SA, have offered us another reason to play...
A number of CITO 2006 coins are being sent our way, and odds are, they'll all be handed out by the end of the day!
Will it be us, will it be them? It's a challenge between the GAS guys, us and Edmonton.
Reasons enough to give it a go? I sure do hope so!
Sign up here and sign up now! And on the 22nd, CITO with a wow!!

Here's another bit of good news! Something for you to muse.
New caches are being planned, some to replace ones that were canned.
What more could you want? Fun activities, food, and now caches at a local haunt.
The City has oriented me to the regulations and rules, it felt a little like being in school!
But now I have some gear, a map too, and all the stuff we'll need to make it fun for you!
If you've got your own gloves, please bring them do, you don't want to be getting covered in doggy doo!
So, still waiting for more people to sign up on the list. C'mon folks! This is not to be missed!
Those folks in the City of Champions and in The Hat, think they know where it's at,
But they're in for quite a shock because they're up against CAC!

A well-dressed CITO cacher, needs the right gear to look dapper
What choice would be better, a T shirt or a sweater?
"Why!", the optimist yells, "...this is Calgary, the T shirt would look swell!"
And so it is with great fanfare, that we announce the CITO T shirt gear
On sale for just a ten dollar bill, there is nothing stopping you from this thrill!
I'll take pre-orders at the CAC Forum, click on the links, don't ignore 'em
And you should bring your cash to the place where we'll pick up trash
I am doing this for love, not pay; so all proceeds go to the fine folks at GPSCentral.ca.
To make things easy, there is a date, after which you'll be too, too late
The date is the eleventh of April, if I haven't heard from you then, well you know the drill.
The shirts come in small, medium, large, XL and extra-extra-large, the biggest may carry an extra charge.
Here's that link: http://www.forums.geocachingcalgary.com/viewtopic.php?t=961 Trying to make a rhyme with that sure had me think!
So, it's true, if you want XXL, it's $12 that you'll have to shell.

Final notes now, as the time is near, this is the stuff I need you to hear,
The City is sending a photgrapher, to record the natural habitat of the cacher!
There'll be waiver sheets to sign, we hope you don't mind,
So when he says "Smile!", there'll be pearly gnashers for a mile!
The T shirts are ready, the coins are here,
and Medicine Hat is nothing to fear!
The food offers have come in, that's great to see,
all we need now is for the sky to be cloud-free!
So, if you haven't registered yet, now is the time,
if you miss out, I don't want to hear you whine!
This is the end of my verse, you'll be sad to learn,
but look forward to Saturday, for that's what we should yearn!
These rhymes are getting bad, there's no doubt,
I guess I'd better sign out!
