Robin Hood's Neighborhood Trailhead Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A cache near a neighborhood trailhead to Santa Teresa County Park.

Robin Hood and his merry men use this trailhead into Santa Teresa County Park. You can too. This is an official legal neighborhood trailhead with street parking (as opposed to my now archived nonofficial one). From this trailhead, you can climb up to Coyote Peak for great views and cache GCFD1B - Bay Area Multiple Hills - 3 and then further into the park for more caches, if you wish.

There is a short little uphill hike to the cache from the street. Dogs on leash are allowed on the trail. This is the only trail out of over 18 miles in this park that bicycles and horses are not allowed on.

Park hours are from 8:00am to sunset (or even a few minutes before sunset), and they mean it! See my log below.

Cache is in a camo decon container which contains the usual trinkets, geocache note, logbook, and pen.

9/2/2006 WARNING: Several cachers have mentioned a rattlesnake near the cache. Please be careful in this area.
