Geocache Description:

Seekers will access our trail at our River Road parking area for greatest convenience. 



The cache access could hardly be easier because our trail is very level, and the cache is less than a tenth of a mile from the parking access.  This parking area is on River Road three miles beyond its intersection with Farmville’s Main Street. This parking area will be on the left and is near a large communication tower.

Seekers will not leave the trail surface to find the cache. Once the cache is found, it will encourage the finder to seek a given coordinate to where Black Gum Trees can be found.

The finder of the cache box will clearly see the coordinates through the box’s transparent lid to the area where our signature tree grows. This location will be less than a mile of your find. Be sure to look for passion flowers along the way during the late warmer months. They have been common in this area.  There is no additional cache box at the tree’s location.

This cache is a regular sized, lock-n-lock plastic container. It will have a log book and collector's cards inside.
