McQuillan bridge letterbox Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

J.A.R.S.: After some extensive searching, I just couldn't find a good alternative spot. So I'm going to archive it as a geocache letterbox hybrid. But I may place it as a letterbox listed on atlasquest.com - there's an OK spot but it's too close to the other cache in the area.

*** The cache is NOT at the posted co-ordinates.***

This is a letterbox - no trade items. Do not trade out the stamp. Leave it in the box. One of the purposes of a letterbox is to collect rubberstamp images instead of trinkets. I hope you'll join in the fun and bring along your personal letterbox passport/journal (some people like to carry index cards then scrapbook or spiral bind them later).

Bring your own ink (recommended colour: black) if you plan to stamp your letterbox passport/journal.

Park at N 43° 32.775 W 080° 11.875 (the Barber Scout Camp lot) - it's just off of Stone Road. If you are driving east from Victoria Road, the old road to the parking area and bridge will be 2 car lengths past the railroad track on the right. You've been here before if you searched for Guelph Hiker's Bow Bridge GCQY09.

The coordinates will take you to a lamppost on the east side of the bow bridge. There are white numbers tacked under the letter "C". Record these numbers. Let’s call that number A.

Traditional letterboxing method using directions:
A x 5 = ____ (B)
B + (A/5) = _______ (C)

Walk back to the parking lot. Go to the trailhead next to the camp gates. C = the number of steps that you need to walk in a southeast direction from the trailhead until you get to a man-made assistive device. Stop and turn 90 degrees and walk east-north-east X steps to the hiding spot.
X = A - 15.
GPS way:
Divide the number that you find on the lamppost by 1000 and add it to...
43 32.688 and to 80 11.773
Please hide it carefully so it doesn't get muggled. Thanks. :)

During wet conditions expect some mud on the trail
