Easy little Lock-n-Lock, in a quiet place in Kirkland. Just a little off of the main trail (40-50')
In looking for cool places and unique spots to hide caches, one type of spot has often been called "typical" or "traditional". This is an example of such a hide, but one where an eruption of new life was quite strong and dramatic.
Not a very busy trail, as far as I can tell. Parking is typically the problem. I parked at a small park up the hill on the road to the East of the cache. Short 5-10 minute walk to trail start, and not too far in. A bit muddy on wet days.
GPSr wanders a bit, but the description should be enough. If not, the picture is more than enough.
