Designed for families with young children in the Pasadena area, this is an easy, but not too easy cache in Eaton Canyon. It's near the popular Eaton Canyon trail, but will take a little thinking to find, but no bushwhacking.

We intended this to be a cache that is fun for a family with young children who still want a bit of a hike. The cache was started with a pretty rich bunch of prizes, chosen with kids in mind.

The most likely way a cacher would get to this cache is from the Eaton Canyon Park parking lot. You could also start at the bridge that's down from Eaton Canyon Falls or the trailhead that's on Altadena Drive.

It's about 1.5 miles round trip from the Nature Center parking lot, and it's almost entirely on the Eaton Canyon Trail. It should be approximately 1.25 miles from the bridge round trip if you go that way.

There is definitely NO BUSHWHACKING REQUIRED. If you find yourself doing this, you should stop, take a look around and realize there is a better way to get to the cache. If you must, check the spoiler.

Here are the initial contents of the cache:

California Daruma Travel Bug (someone please take him to Japan!)
Deck of Cards
China Cup
Eraser
Bubble Wand and Bubbles
Toy Car
Brass Doorknob (don't ask why)
Checker set
Bottle of Water (we figured someday this will come in handy for someone)
2 sparkly pencils
"God Bless America" paperweight
Buffalo Nickel and another old coin
2 styrofoam flying bird kits
1 styrofoam WWII airplane kit
1 paper airplane kit

Let's keep this cache full of things that kids would enjoy getting.

Enjoy!

Nice little stroll up the canyon. Chip the GeoWonderDog didn't want to go any further than the first water crossing, so I dashed ahead and bagged the find. Took Shrek; left colored pencils. TFTC!
