Mount Vernon Fire Department

After many long years of having inadequate housing downtown, the Mount Vernon Fire Department moved into their new facility this spring and on Memorial Day (2012) had the grand opening! The residents of Mount Vernon and the surrounding area are grateful and proud of the courage and skill demonstrated each day by this dedicated band of firefighters. Thank you! The cache is hidden around the back of the fire station. There is ample parking in the back so please park only in the back. This should be a quick park and grab for most people. The fire chief, Dan Gaines, has given me permission to leave this cache in this location.
