Many, many years ago lived two Dartmoor boys by the names of
Hancock and Cobley who grew up to become legends in their own
right. Hancock moved to South Australia and found success as a
Captain, whereas Cobley remained at home with his friends Bill,
Jan, Peter, Dan and Harry.
As boys, the two would pass time by hiding treasures and setting
difficult puzzles for the willing locals to work out in order to
find them (like you do!).
Naturally, these puzzles got harder and harder, and the hiding
places got more and more extreme. Indeed, one of these treasures
was so challenging it was never found. Was the puzzle too hard? Was
the hiding place too severe? Or both?
It is known that Hancock hid half of what was required to pursue
the treasure hunt in the village where he was born. Likewise,
Cobley hid the other half of what was needed in the village where
he used to hang out with his mates.
They both hid the information in almost exactly the same way, in
their respective villages, but the much needed clue to find it has
never been worked out. It was a friend of theirs called Rustran who
managed to translate it for them but unfortunately was unable to
translate it back:
Apparently, the hidden information will lead to a container that
has several maps and concise details on how to find the final
treasure.
BE WARNED! There are strict safety
guidelines included with the maps that MUST be adhered too. These
also contain enough information for you to decide what
special/safety equipment you may deem necessary.
NEVER EVER attempt to
find the final treasure alone - THIS IS IMPERATIVE!
This cache is extreme. Remember, you do not
have to do this. Know your own limitations and most importantly,
if at any point you begin to feel unwell you must quit
immediately!
