You're almost to Calispell Peak!
Well, you will be by the time you arrive at this cache. This spot
just spoke to me (as Scotty puts it).
Scotty of CHRISNSCOTT and myself went out for a day of quads and
mountains, and we thought we'd share a little piece of our
experience with you. In fact, watch this and you're practically
there: Say Hi to Scotty for me
There are a number of ways to get to this cache. We got here by
taking Hwy 20 to Tacoma Creek Road, then turning on Calispell Peak
Road.
Terrain is listed at 3.5 because you either have to have a
high-clearance vehicle (or ORV) -or- it's a long hike. Terrain from
logical parking to cache is only about a 2.
This cache contains an unactivated 2009 Groundspeak Lackey geocoin
- we had received an extra one by mistake during a visit to the
"lilypad" (as it were) and promised to pay it forward. I've just
been waiting for a special cache in which to place it, and this
certainly qualifies.
We hope you enjoy this cache and the views. Try and guess why it's
called "270 Cache" - though that should be fairly obvious by now.
Cache container is a .50 cal ammo can.
* Big thanks for CHRISNSCOTT for the usage of the
quad. Even though my truck can do the job,
this was so much more fun!
