Geocache Description:

For your enjoyment, PLEASE read this description completely to avoid confusion and frustration! Please be aware that the terrain/difficulty rating may be adjusted based on Cacher feedback.

Ah, the dreaded DNF! There’s nothing worse than having to post a sad blue face! (And boy, do we know that feeling!) But don’t be ashamed -- embrace it! By posting a DNF, you are providing a great service not only to the cache owner but to the Geocaching community as well.

In fact, in Connecticut, we award medals for DNFs. How cool is that!?

To honor the DNF, Yodadog has created a cache that will make even DNF'ing a memorable experience with the opportunity to sign a log and to trade items and trackables. How is this possible? Well here’s the deal:

Located at the posted coordinates you will find a lamely hidden camo'ed Tupperware container with a screw top that is large enough for small trade items, geocoins and travel bugs. (If you can’t find this, you really should give up the sport.) Inside this container you will find the “Official DNF Logbook.” Sign this logbook ONLY if you DNF the cache! This logbook has been provided as a service to our fellow geocachers so they can vent their frustration and anger at us before they post their online Did Not Find.

And for the first time ever in Geocaching history, we have provided a FTDNF prize for the unlucky recipient!

So, how do you post a smiley you ask? You have to find and sign the “Found It” logbook which is located within a 15 foot radius of the container that holds the DNF Logbook.

The Found It logbook contains a code word on the top of it (see picture for reference -- the actual logbook does not have the code word obliterated) and should you wish to email it to Yodadog as an option, feel free to brag. As per Rule 3.1. of the Geocaching Guidelines, this is not mandatory for a smiley face, but -- WARNING! -- if it is determined that your name does not appear in the "Found-It" logbook your smiley face will be toast! (wink)!

So that there is absolutely no confusion, we have posted a picture of the two log books in this cache page's gallery.

Please replace anything and everything you find exactly as you found it. (But you knew that already.)

And please do not post spoiler pics or spoiler online logs.

Good Luck and Have Fun!
