Geocache Description:

The Wisconsin Conservationists’ Hall of Fame was created in 2001 by the Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation to recognize and honor five great Wisconsinites and their life-long environmental efforts. This cache is located at the site dedicated to John Wesley Powell. It is one of five Hall of Fame sites that you will need to visit to complete the Wisconsin Conservationists’ Hall of Fame cache. The other Hall of Fame sites that you will need to visit are: Increase Lapham, , Carl Schurz, John Muir, and Aldo Leopold. Visit this site, read the commemorative sign and answer this question: In what year did John Wesley Powell lose an arm? Now, find the cache. Add the number from the sign to the number you will find within the cache. The final number will represent GH of the coordinates for the Wisconsin Conservationists’ Hall of Fame cache. Enjoy the adventure as well as the opportunity to learn about these environmental icons and the history of conservation in Wisconsin.
