1 Mile Lake is a beautiful lake situated right beside Highway 99, 1 mile South of the Village of Pemberton, 20 minutes down the road from Whistler. The lake and surrounding park area have been developed as a Nature Preserve combining a network of trails, pathways, bridges and raised wooden walkways. The trails go all around the lake providing different views, access to varied terrain and wildlife habitat throughout the year. In the spring and summer the area is teemming with life, and in the fall transforms into a winter-wonderland. There is swimming by summer and ice-skating in winter. The trails are a very easy walk and are used all year round by people strolling and walking their dogs. Please help by bagging trash out if you see it.

This is a very tranquil part of the lake. Lumpy's trail curls up and away from here, enjoyed by biker's and hiker's alike. Mind you, the Troll does get hungry for fresh meat from time to time...

Congrats to _canadianbacon_ for FTF!! Guess the Troll missed out on a great meal!
