In the "Forest" subdivision of Lethbridge there are some tree-named parks. This is one of them.
This cache has been placed for the CARL3 event. This cache was released to the public on Thursday June 9th. The cache should not be located prior to 6 p.m. Friday June 10. The caches for the CARL3 event are released early so that the geocaching community has an opportunity to plan their routes prior to the event start.
The Redwood Park is a large park at the heart of the Forestry subdivision.
The park has a gentle hill for sledding in the winter and plenty of space for kites, soccer, or other field sports.
There was once a sizeable playground here but there was a fire set there and it burned to the ground. The fire was especially impressive since the "sand-box" was filled with shredded tire bits.
This multi-cache is NOT at the posted coordinates but uses clues from three other caches (waypoints) to help you find it. The cache is located at
N49 40.SCP W112 47.PSC
where S, C and P refer to the names of the parks where the waypoints are located.
At each waypoint you will find a part of the N and W partial coordinates to find the actual final cache location.
Additional Waypoints:
N49 40.266 W112 47.603 (Palm Trees - CARL3)
N49 40.254 W112 47.194 (Sequoia Trees - CARL3)
N49 40.675 W112 47.124 (Cedar Trees - CARL3)
Happy hunting!
