Located in DeSoto State Park. You can park at the Country Store and hike approximately .7 miles on the white trail to the old CCC rock quarry or park at the Lost Falls trailhead and hike approximately .5 miles via the orange and white trails, to the quarry. Trail maps can be obtained from the Country Store or Lodge. Tree cover maybe a factor. I took an average to determine cache location. Other hikers maybe around so be discrete. Cache is in a tan ammo box.

The Civilian Conservation Corp was a program started by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The program was designed to teach, much needed, skills to young men during the Great Depression. One of the many projects across the United States was the construction of State Parks. The men of the CCC initially built DeSoto State Park.
Permitted by Alabama State Parks.

This one was tricky because the GPSr was all over the place today. If it had not been for kitticat, I'd have given up. The Magellan saved the day! TFTC!
